Comments:
Meet the Eurocopter single-engine, 6-7 place AS350 series. Helicopters so
well configured they practically know what you need to accomplish before you
do. The 350's maneuverability, superior visibility with all seats facing
forward and low vibration level, mean your mission will be as comfortable as it
is productive. The cost effective, popular AS350B-2 powered with a 732 shp
Turbomeca Arriel 1D1 engine is a true multi mission workhorse known for its
outstanding performance.
With high performance, ease of flight, and sling capacity of more than 2,555
lbs for the B2, the AS350 B-2 is the most user friendly helicopter in its
class.
The AS350B-2 is a lightweight single engine 6 seat helicopter equipped with a
Arriel 1D1 turbine engine. It carries high-tech equipment and features a
comfortable cabin. Design is largely based on composite materials (blades,
Starflex type main rotor hub, airframe, cowlings) which entail substantially
lower maintenance costs.
The AS350B-2's speed and range combined with a roomy, quiet cabin make it
suitable for a variety of missions from EMT to executive transport.
The Starflex rotor head and modular design provide long service life as well as
simplified maintenance procedures when they finally are required.
Reliability is enhanced by the simple, rugged design of the AS350B-2's Arriel
1D1 turbine engine. Downtime is reduced by the modular construction of the
engine (5 replaceable sub-assemblies).
These easy maintenance features make it particularly well suited for operation
in severe climates.
The single engine AS350 Ecureuil is renowned for its high performance, its
safety and its reduced operating costs. The single-engine AS350B-2, powered
with a Turbomeca Arriel 1D1 engine, has a proven track record. Its flexibility
and low acquisition cost has made it a very sought-after helicopter to perform
a wide range of missions (passenger transport, aerial work, fire fighting,
etc.).
